in true spirit of halloween (spirit, get it? *groan*), kriss made me a ghost pancake for breakfast. heh
we were invited for a night of pumpkin debauchery courtesy of jess and pink. it was lots and lots of fun. thank you, my pretties. :}
it was our very first time carving a pumpkin (all 5 of us, including mick) and i think we didn't do too shabby a job. in fact, you could say we are all going to try something more elaborate for next year's soiree. :}

we've also made the virtual world a tad festive for the occassion.
this be the public room with weeny balloons that i drew specifically for the day. the regulars seem pretty chuffed with the work.
the users can now upload a background image for their individual room as seen here. see, we do respond to user requests. but only if it was in the list of things to do in the first place. :}
oh, did i mention the ability to grow balloons? to summarize, recipes in the form of spelling out the magical buffs, cross pollination and all that malarkey.
in other news, the visa came in the mail. i am now able to live here forever and ever. :}
it's been months and job search is still poo. job agencies hassle me with promises but do not deliver. on one hand, i am unable to land a position within my skillset and on the other, i am somehow not eligible for general work in sainsburys, tescos, m&s, hmv, waterstones, whsmith or game. went for a boots interview but got this in email:
"Further to your assessment, we have considered your application and whilst we would be interested in offering you a position, unfortunately we do not currently have anything which fits with your availability."
wtf? my specified availability was immediately, any day, any time. meh. have replied and asked for confirmation of timeslot.
with less than 150 quid in the bank, fear/desperation is sinking in.

We now have an early build of the virtual world code live, naturally the first room available is a public toilet.
The kids seem excited about the new updates, as are we. It has taken us time and work to get to this stage. And there is still loads more to do. :}

sometime today, the Large Hadron Collider will be turned on. here's to new dimensions! :}
also, i propose that we all start playing Another World at approximately midday.
(hint: press up at the start to not get eaten by tentacle monsters.)
